AME BC represents over 5,000 members including geoscientists, prospectors, engineers, entrepreneurs, exploration companies, suppliers, mineral producers, and associations who are engaged in mineral exploration in BC and throughout the world. Established in 1912, AME BC has a long and distinguished history of effectively representing the mineral exploration sector. Through leadership, partnerships, and advocacy, AME BC promotes a healthy, sustainable, and environmentally sound mineral exploration and mining sector for its members. AME BC is regarded as the predominant voice of mineral exploration and related issues in British Columbia.
AME BC hosts Mineral Exploration Roundup, the world’s premier annual technical conference for the mineral exploration sector, and acts on behalf of its membership in areas including developing relationships with First Nations and communities, promoting health and safety, maintaining and improving land access, and enhancing investment certainty and confidence by highlighting and working to maintain BC’s competitive advantage in securities regulation, taxation, and flow through share programs.
