Autocad Image .gif

This is one way to create an uploaded cad drawing. There are others such as a conversion programs that will convert into other formats/extensions.

Using this format, start with:

Create autocad drawing.

Reduce screen to encompass only the drawing you want to upload. To much open area around the drawing will leave extra space around the object that is not wanted.

Copy drawing.

Open Excel

Paste the drawing into the spreadsheet.

Scale the image in the spreadsheet can effect the look when uploaded. When attached and sizing in an article the line color could be sharp to light depending on the scale.

In the tool bar select ‚ "Line Color", if not already set to "No Line", select it. This will get rid of the border around the image.

Go to menu File>>Save As Web Page

Pick a location and save it.

Go to that location.

In the folder, you should have a subfolder that says <<File Name>> files. There you will find a <<File Name.gif>> file, it should be renamed. This is the file you will be uploading.

In piping-designer.com select "Upload file".

Then you are done, except for using it in your article!
