Volume differential, abbreviated as \(\Delta V\), is the difference between an expanded or reduced volume of a liquid.

 

Volume differential formula

\(  \Delta V = V_f -  V_i   \) 
Symbol English Metric
\( \Delta V \) = volume differential \( in^3 \)  \( mm^2 \) 
\( V_f \) = final volume \( in^3 \) \( mm^2 \)
\( V_i \) = initial volume \( in^3 \) \( mm^2 \)
