Bodenstein number, abbreviated as Bo, is a dimensionless number which is used in mass transfer and diffusion in reactors calculations in particular. The equations to calculate the Bodenstein Number are below.

 $$\large{ Bo = \frac {v \; l} {D_a} }$$          Where: $$\large{ Bo }$$ = Bodenstein number $$\large{ D_a }$$ = effective axial diffusivity $$\large{ l }$$ = reaction length $$\large{ v }$$ = velocity
