Vickers hardness test, abbreviated as HV, is an indentation hardening test utilizing a diamond pyramid and useful over the entire range of common metals.


Vickers Hardness Test Formula

\(\large{ HV }\) = vickers hardness test

\(\large{ l }\) = average of two diagonal length

\(\large{ F }\) = applied load
