Operating income, abbreviated as OI, also called operaring profit, is the revenue after deducting all the operating expenses. 

 

Operating Income Formulas

\(\large{ OI = GI  -  OPEX }\)  
\(\large{ OI = R  -  COGS -  OPEX }\)  

Where:

\(\large{ OI }\) = operating income

\(\large{ COGS }\) = cost of goods sold

\(\large{ GI }\) = gross income

\(\large{ OPEX }\) = operating expenses

\(\large{ R }\) = revenue
